Full Moon in Aquarius.png

On its way to fullness, the Moon illuminates the death(s) and transformations the Earth is undergoing (transiting Pluto in Capricorn),  and as it begins to wane, its dark light goes on shining on the structures that may (or not) enable our collective survival (transiting Saturn in Aquarius).

All of this intensity is playing out in the First House, the portion of the sky just below the easter horizon that describes the immediate appearance of a given existent, which is currently being lit up by the Sun in the 7th house, at home in the sign of Leo. The 7th house is the opposite portion of the sky, just above the western horizon, which describes how we relate, commit and engage with others.

I like to read this full moon in Aquarius as an invitation to sense the continuity beyond and before the apparent duality of self and other, interior and exterior distinctions. If we turn with the astrological wheel, the interior and the exterior, as well as all the other complementary descriptors of opposing portions of the sky, all lie in/as a continuous surface of inhabitance.

What if we could ride the expansive and creative fire of Leo and let ourselves wander about what such surfacing would imply? What if each and every one of us was inseparable from everything and anything else? How would we read or sense ourselves as the marks and traces of everything else that is and has been happening ? What would such a reading/sensing enable?

The feelings this full moon carries may be intense, but its positioning in Aquarius, which will repeat in the next lunation, gives us an opportunity to transmute the feelings, intuitions and sensation that are coming up now, into the (im)possible visions, descriptions and perhaps tools needed to exist on this earth otherwise. Even if only to challenge, confront and contest the colonial imagination that only envisions the furthering of violence on Earth as in space.
